How To Put Your Button In Your Side Bar

A couple of people have mentioned that they had a button but didn't know how to put it into their sidebar. Well, here is the code for that. =)

You can mess around with the rows and columns (cols) to change the size of the text box. You can also change the size of the button by adding this in width="amountofpixels" height="amountofpixels", like this.

Once you save it, the coding may change a bit, like a > may change to >. But don't worry, it's the same difference, and it will still work. For instance, mine looks like this.

<a href="http://camilleta.blogspot.com/"><img src="http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/Camilleta/Blog%20Stuff/hydrangeabutton2.jpg" width="125" height="125" /></a>

If anyone needs anymore help with anything, I'm no expert, but I'd be happy to try! =)

EDIT: If you are wondering where to put the code, go to your Dashboard, click on Design, click Add a Gadget, pick Text, and that's where you put the code!

Thank you very much for this post! I have 2 buttons with the name of my Blog on it but there is a BIG problem! I have made several attempts to get the code for the buttons but with no success! I would be so happy if you could advise on how to do this. Take care.

This is so great. Thanks for the info. I had a button with the code text box on my blog and I somehow deleted it. I couldn't remember how to do it, so thanks maybe I can make another one now!
there's a specific site that does that. you just upload the pic to photobucket. then get the direct link and paste it in and type the blog link and your blog night and hit get code and copy and paste it into a html on your layout and hit save blog and you have it. but i forgot the site name and link b/c i dont have my laptop. its out of commission for a while.
