Pregnancy Update: 20 Weeks!!
Week: 20. Halfway!!!!!
Due date: November, 22. (They changed it from November, 28 at my last appointment.)
Symptoms: Heartburn, indigestion, soreness, tiredness. You know, all that good stuff!
Feeling: Happy! This baby is so active, which is something new to me because I could barely feel Kaylee move when I was pregnant with her.
Cravings: Nothing really, still liking the bland foods.
Aversions: Still nauseated by anything with a strong flavor.
Sleep: Baby wakes me up with kicking! And heartburn wakes me up too. Lol I can't get a break!
Health: Good, just got my iron level checked and it was fine! All systems are go for birthing at the birth center. :)
Exercise: I can walk the dogs, but have to take it easy or I get cramps now. =/
Labor signs: Well, I've been having cramps which might be Braxton-Hicks. It's freaking me out! But they tell me not to worry, and to just rest and drink water when it happens.
Weight gain: Still about 20 pounds. Oddly, I became huge right in the beginning, but never grew much after that. My stomach has firmed up, becoming more baby and less fat, but that's it really. I guess it's because I had to eat bread/crackers 24/7 due to morning sickness and now I can't eat too much or anything or I get heartburn.
Movement: Very active! :D
BabyCenter update: Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.) He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
