Pregnancy Update: 24 Weeks!!!!!

Week: 24!! (about 16 weeks / 112 days to go)

Due date: November 28. :)

Symptoms: Swollen legs and feet, tired all the time, bad heartburn. Oh and I've had eczema break outs the entire pregnancy, but I got a new amber and hazelwood necklace that's been helping and now it's nearly cleared up. (I got it at Hazelaid.com and I totally recommend them for eczema!)

Feeling: Happy! Just got back from the birth center; the baby and I are both healthy! All the tests came back good. Looks like my symptoms are annoying but harmless.

Cravings: Nothing really. Still liking bland foods.

Aversions: Everything, it seems like. Meat, fish, pickles... Food odors are just not appealing.

Sleep: Not great. I'm tired all the time and can't sleep through the night. The Unisom was working great but unfortunately even a half a pill makes me tired for 24 hours.

Health: So far, so good! My white blood cell count is a tiny bit high but that's probably just from fighting off allergies or an infection or something. They'll check it again in 4 weeks when they give me the diabetes test.

Exercise: Chores and running after Kaylee knocks me out! Plus I have to lay down ad put my feet up as much as possible because of my sausage legs lol.

Labor signs: No!

Baby's size: Just over a pound and just under a foot, about the size of an ear of corn.

Weight gain: OMG I have gained 37 pounds, as of today!! I really hope I don't gain much more. I can't exercise but I'm watching what I eat, and I never eat junk food or sweets! But I think I eat too many carbs and not enough protein, so I really have to work on that. >_<

Movement: Baby is super active!! Day AND night! I love it but at the same time, I'm beginning to think I'll get more sleep after she's born lol.

Stretchmarks: I think I'm starting to get new ones on my legs and hips.

Gender: Girl!!!

Name: Brynna Rose.

BabyCenter update: Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Definitely pregnant lol!

Cute post! I love the way you organized it!! I am right there with ya on the weight gain stuff. My pregnancy I gained about 45 lbs! I did everything "right" too. exercised, ate right...I don't know how I gained so much weight. But it's all worth it in the end for sure!!!

So glad everything came back O.K.! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! I shockingly miss being pregnant despite my horrific 9 months.

You might try enzymes or Bubbie's sauerkraut/pickles for the heartburn.

That's sweet that Kaylee plays music for her little sister. Who knows maybe that'll be what puts her to sleep. :)
I don't think I've seen a kazoo since I was her age. How cute! ^.^
