36 Week Bumpdate!

Baby's the size of a honeydew! via thebump.com

Week: 36! Only 1 more week until full term. :D

Due date: November 28.

Symptoms: Feeling pretty crampy lately, I think the baby has dropped. And (tmi warning) I think I have been losing my mucus plug.

Feeling: Very excited but also moody and emotional. Very anxious to finish getting ready. With my symptoms lately, I feel like we should install the car seat and pack the labor bag today, just in case. We're going to Delaware this Saturday to get some gifts and hand-me-downs from my awesome in laws (although I may not go because it's a 2 hour drive). Then on Sunday we're going to this great store near us, Soft and Cozy Baby, to do a cloth diaper workshop and a babywearing workshop (both free, yay). I'm planning on buying cloth diapers and a baby sling/wrap/carrier there that day too. So after this weekend we will be all set and ready for baby to come!!

Sleep: I can't get comfortable AT ALL anymore. Restless leg syndrome and carpal tunnel are both driving me crazy at night.

Health: Good, I think. I have a birth center appointment tomorrow so hopefully they say I'm doing fine still. :)

Exercise: Oh heck no, I can barely do a load of laundry!

Stretchmarks: I noticed the other day that I'm starting to get some. :( Darn, I almost got through two pregnancies without them!

Skin: My eczema is doing better. I notice that if I skip a day of using the hydrocortisone cream or wearing my hazelwood and amber necklace, if flares up again. Looks like I found a good mix to keep it under control, but I hope to be able to stop using the cream soon because it's a steroid and I'd rather not use it while pregnant or breastfeeding...

Baby's size: About 6 pounds and 18 1/2 inches!

Movement: LOTS of movement, as usual. I can tell she's head down because she kicks me right in the ribs! So that's good, although sometimes painful!

Gender: GIRL!

Name: Brynna Rose. <3

BabyCenter update: Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement. At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.

I forgot to take a belly pic this week. Bad me! Go here for previous belly pics.

Monday Blog Hop #19

So I've been telling my husband he should make a daddy blog, but I never thought he'd actually do it. The other day he surprised me and actually created Bacon, Beer, and Babies. Hahah, great name, right? His first post/intro was so sweet, it made me cry, lol. Anyway, I figured I'd put the blog hop up early because we're supposed to get hit by Hurricane Sandy soon and will probably lose power. As usual, no rules, feel free to link up anything. :) Thanks for participating! PS Does anyone want to swap blog buttons? Let me know!!

Flashback Friday & Life Update :)

I've been trying to catch up on blog stuff, but that darn carpal tunnel makes my arms start hurting after about 5 or 10 minutes on the computer. :( Actually, the left one goes numb and the right one hurts, it's weird. I am really hoping that it's just pregnancy related and that it doesn't persist after the baby comes.

In other news, I've been having LOTS of Braxton-Hicks the past few days. I'll have to see at my birth center appointment next week, but I think the baby has dropped. I feel a lot of low pressure, like in/on my cervix I think. I keep getting cramps in my back and lower belly. I really can barely walk at this point, I have to awkwardly waddle! I'm sure it looks pretty funny. So yeah, my body is definitely starting to get ready for labor! It's really uncomfortable but at the same time super exciting. :) Only 1 more month to go, if that!!

Anyway, here is the Flashback Friday linky. I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Link up an old picture and/or an old post! No rules, other than that. Have fun!! :)

[Mostly] Wordless Wednesday!

This is a sign someone put up in my neighborhood. "I clean yard. Clean basement. I buy motorscooter." Lmao!

It's a...

Sleepy Aries.

If he chews off another bar, he'll be able to fit through that hole lol. I haven't tried leaving him loose when we leave yet, I'm going to next time and see how it goes... Hopefully we still have a house when we return!

This is his innocent, "I didn't chew a giant hole in my crate, why do you ask?" face.

My family was visiting and Kaylee had everyone playing "dance studio."

She taught us some stuff she's learned in dance class, and a few moves she invented herself, such as the "wickachow."

She says she enjoys dance class, but sometimes enough is enough. And she'd really prefer to be the teacher.

Holding hands with Uncle Zeke (my brother). Awww. :)

This is a whale she drew on the porch with chalk lol.

This is the type of doll I want to get Kaylee for Hannukah. :)

35 Week Bumpdate :)

Baby's the size of a coconut! via thebump.com

Week: 35! Wow, we're getting so close. o_o I don't think it's really sunk in that I'll actually be having a real live baby soon, lol!

Due date: November 28.

Symptoms: Getting some serious Braxton-Hicks this week! Still annoyed by heartburn. Still feel huge, sore, tired, and swollen. But on the bright side, the carpal tunnel hasn't been bothering me too much.

Feeling: Excited and impatient! Anxious to finish up getting everything ready in case she comes early!!

Health: Good. Eczema is getting better but it won't clear it up fully. :(

Weight gain: I think it was 46 pounds, last time I checked. >_<

Baby's size: About 5 pounds and 18 inches.

Movement: Soooo active. I feel like she barely sleeps. And sometimes I feel like she must be an octopus hahah.

Gender: GIRL!

Name: Brynna Rose. :)

BabyCenter update: Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Photo Dump!

I apologize for not getting my Friday blog hop up yesterday! We've had a SUPER busy week. My friend from Australia was visiting and then my aunt from Tennessee was in town. Hopefully this week will be pretty uneventful so I can catch up on blogging stuff a bit, or as much as my dumb carpal tunnel will allow anyway! By the way, I'm co-hosting a blog hop which goes live at 4pm EST tomorrow (Sunday) so make sure to drop by. Ok, now commencing photo dump. :)

[Mostly] Wordless Wednesday

At the park. :)

Refusing to let anyone hold her hand. -_-

Eating her snot? >_>

That is my friend Cody, he's visiting us from Australia for 2 weeks. :)

Looking at some swans.

No special effects, Cody just glows with ethereal light lol!

Pretteh. :)

Ready to strike out on her own.

LOL @ Steven's face.

We're a happy, perfect family!

No jk, we're leaving because Kaylee's having a meltdown and needs a nap lol.

Hahah, I have no idea what's happening here.
