I just received my second VoxBox from Influenster, and it's even better than my first one! SIX free products to review; I didn't even know where to start!
The theme of this VoxBox is vitality. It came at a perfect time for me since about a month ago, I decided to make focusing on myself more of a priority. I'm slowly realizing that I can be a good mom, and still have my own life. :) Anyway, onto the loot!!
The first thing that caught my eye when I opened my package was the Pure Leaf Iced Tea. I love tea! Coffee has been disagreeing with me more and more, so now I drink tea daily instead. I usually brew my own because I don't want a lot of extra ingredients, like preservatives. I was surprised and pleased to see that Pure Leaf sweet tea only has 3 ingredients: brewed tea, sugar, and citric acid. It was super yummy too! I will definitely be getting this regularly from now on.
The next thing I noticed was the Softlips® Cube. My lips are always so dry, I usually have to put chapstick on constantly. I've been putting this on for a few days now and I love it. It lasts a long time so I don't have to reapply it very often throughout the day. Plus it's vanilla scented and smells heavenly!
When I saw the Bikini Ready Energy Gummies, I was a bit suspicious. I am wary of supplements, especially ones claiming to support weight loss. But these are basically just a B12 vitamin with some caffeine (less than the amount in a cup of coffee). So at the end of the day when Steven gets home and I finally get the chance to exercise, these are great for giving me the little energy boost I need to get going. One down side, they have a bit of a weird after taste. (Also, they're not recommended for nursing moms, but after reading the ingredients, and considering that Bryn is almost 2 and only nurses a couple minutes each day, I decided it would be ok to try them.)
I have not had the chance to use First Degree® Advanced Burn Cream yet, but I'm accident prone and often burn myself while cooking or straightening my hair. So I'm sure I'll get a chance to try this out soon. Apparently it helps reduce scarring, so that's a plus. And I like that it's homeopathic!
Playtex® Sport® Fresh Balance™ I'm not a huge fan of tampons and don't usually use them. It's not that I have a real reason for it, I just don't like the idea of them. I did review these, but I don't really know how these rate compared to other tampons since it's been ages since I used one. But I did like these. I wore one during a busy day with the kids, and also during my run, and it never leaked. I can't say I'm converted to using tampons, but I think I'll at least use them when exercising/running.
Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Powered by Ceramide™ Caplet Serum is meant to help with early signs of aging by improving skin tone and texture. So I don't know if I'm really the target audience for this product at age 26, although maybe people are starting early with the anti-aging products these days? Anyway, I did try the product. It dried in under a minute. I was worried it would feel stiff when it dried, but it didn't. I couldn't even tell it was there. It lightly moisturized my skin and didn't make it oily. I'm not sure about reducing the early signs of wrinkles, since I don't really have any yet... (I don't think?!) ...but if you have sensitive skin and you're looking for an anti-aging treatment, I would recommend this. About 90% of the skin products I try irritate my skin and give me eczema, so I feel like anything that doesn't is probably really high quality.
